The Comp
The 6th edition of the Honda Session pro snowboard invitational invades Vail February 8-10 for some of the sweetest riding on the planet.
Presented by GameStop and a project of the Vail Valley Foundation, the Five Star Swatch Ticket To Ride event promises to wow the nighttime crowd with the Steel and Sky Rails competition, as well as the signature Bud Light Slopestyle Session. The weekend rounds out with the Sunday Session public competition. The entire Honda Session takes place at Golden Peak in Vail.
This is a rider-driven event that is always pushing the envelope to evolve the sport. Through a combination of sick features, awesome formats and outstanding prize money, the Honda Session always receives “mad-props” from the riders and snowboard industry and is considered one of the top five events in the world.
The Session is unlike other comps, many of which only give riders a few tries to stick their tricks or put together an epic run. Both signature Session events consist of "rider sessions," allowing each competitor 1 1/2 hours (Slopestyle) and 1 hour (Men’s and Women’s Rails) to complete as many—or as few—attempts as they desire.
